CHOIR
The Choir started 2005 by singing for the residents of
Rosedale Nursing Home, Antrim and Glenkeen Nursing Home, Randalstown. February started with a visit to the PWA at
Dundrod Presbyterian Church for their Visitors’ Night. The Choir also visited Carnlough
Presbyterian Church for their PWA Visitors’ Night. We joined with others and took part in the Easter presentation
entitled “He is Risen Hallelujah” on Easter Sunday morning. In April the Choir was invited by the
Belfast City Mission to take part in their Annual Rally in Church House. This was a great experience for all who
attended. Rev Bannerman gave the
closing address.
In September after the summer break, the Choir was invited
to sing at a Praise Evening organised by Cloughwater PWA. The Choir then
started preparations for Harvest and Songs of Praise which was held as usual on
the last weekend of November. In
December the quartet along with Anne Crawford, were invited to take part at the
Christmas lunch organised by OC Randalstown for their Senior Citizens. The next invitation was from Harryville PWA
and the quartet, accompanied by Edith Holmes and Meta Booth, who displayed
their craft skills at their Christmas programme. Greystone Road had their Carol Service on the Sunday before
Christmas and the Choir led the singing which was enjoyed by everyone.
We have come to the end of another busy year for the Choir
and we would ask you to continue to pray for us as we declare God’s message in
song.
