PRIME TIME

Each week when the children go out to Prime Time they engage in various activities to help them find out more about God.  According to their age and ability, they may listen to Bible stories, re-enact the stores, carry out a related craft activity or worksheet, read the Bible and discuss its relevance to them.

Prime Time leaders took some time in December 2004 to review the role of Prime Time.  Generally there was a very positive feeling and some obvious benefits were noted.  The lack of leaders can sometimes make it difficult to work in a rota system and proposals were made as to how this could be rectified.

In December the children brought small gifts to fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  Our target of 10 boxes was greatly exceeded.

Another event in the Prime Time calendar is Prime Time Sunday.  This year we brought it forward to May to enable more people to participate.  Through drama, song and video the children conveyed the message of The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin and the Lost Son.

In June the sum of £390.00 was collected at an after church lunch to help the Church Building Fund.  This proved to be a most satisfactory way to conclude our year’s work.  Thanks to all who contributed.
