PRESBYTERIAN
WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION
PWA
has welcomed some additions to the ranks this year and
it has been most encouraging to have some new ladies taking part in the
monthly
meetings.
The
New Year started with a Guest evening with Raymond
Crooks, the “Singing Chef” who spoke about his
dramatic conversion and he also
managed to produce a 100% successful Pavlova.
We had a number of speakers throughout the
year who told us about the
work they were involved in in various parts of the world. At the Spring Supper for
our senior members
Agnes
Hill sang and spoke about her security in Christ
through difficult times. Some
of our
ladies attended the Annual PWA Rally in Church House.
Our outing this year was to Argory and the
Tyrone Crystal Factory
ending with a meal at Viscounts Restaurant.
The
visit from Foyle Presbytery Choir was enjoyed by
all. In May we
organised a fundraising
Treasure Hunt and we thank all those who supported this event. At a Guest evening with
Peter Jackson and
accompanying soloist, Rachel Thompson, in November was also well
supported and
thoroughly enjoyed by all. The
year
2005 ended with Meta Booth giving some of her tips for floral creations
for
Christmas.
If
you are free on the third Tuesday of the month you would
be very welcome to join the ladies.
